SOAPpy and WSDL and basic authentication

Hi,

Can anyone provide me with sample code that will allow me to use
SOAPpy with a WSDL file using HTTP basic authentication? The only
thing I've been able to find on the net is SOAPpy.URLopene r. However,
I am unclear what the relationship is between SOAPpy.URLopene r and
SOAPpy.WSDL is.

Is it as straightforward as this?
from SOAPpy import WSDL
url = 'http://user:pa**@www.s erver.com/path/to/wsdl'
ssClient = WSDL.proxy(url)
ssClient.Test() # assuming Test is a SOAP-Action
Or do I need to use SOAPpy.URLopene r like so? from SOAPpy import WSDL
from SOAPpy import URLopener
url = 'http://user:pa**@www.s erver.com/path/to/wsdl'
url1 = URLopener.URLop ener(username=' user',passwd='p ass')
ssClient = WSDL.proxy(url1 .open(url))
ssClient.Test() # assumption as above

Or do I need to do something completely different?

All help is much appreicated.

Vivek

Hi, I am using python SOAPpy module to call a web service. Call to web service gets executed successfully. I am facing a problem if the call to WS results into redirect. I get "HTTPError: <HTTPError 302 Moved Temporarily>" If I enable the debug info, I do get the new redirected url. How do I divert my WS request to new url?

Note: this is in reply to a message from August 2 which i found searching for help on my own problem. I couldn't seem to reply to it, but a friend suggested that simply using the same subject would put it in that thread. In case he's wrong, i quoted the previous comments . I am trying to use a webservice with SOAPpy: import SOAPpy intact_wsdl = "http://www.ebi.ac.uk/intact/binary-search-ws/binarysearch?wsdl" intact_serv = SOAPpy.WSDL.Proxy(intact_wsdl) The resulting error message is posted below. If I understand it right, XMLSchema.py complains about the imported XSD namespace being the same as the existing targetNamespace.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
