SQL99 database engine based on Jython

Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any database engines in Jython that is
designed to meet all the language syntax and data types of ANSI SQL99,
no more, no less. The closest I can find so far is hsqldb project in
sourceforge, which is written in Java and targetted to ANSI SQL92.

Thank
Maurice

Hi all, We're looking at a vendor who uses the InterSystems Cache Database Platform, but our IT department has zero experience with this system. This software package will have a pivotal and mission critical roll in our organization, so I'd like some comments on what others think of this database platform. Mainly I'm curious how easy/difficult it is to query a Cache Database, and does it use standard SQL calls like Oracle and MS SQL? ...

I am in the process of cleaning up a database that our company uses to track jobs, time and expense, and customer information. We are running Windows 2000 Server with approximately 20 terminals (Each running 2000) logging in each day. Four of these terminals access the server via Citrix. Currently the database is about 60MB, but it grows to 150 and larger each week. I am constantly having to compact it to keep it running smoothly. ...

Hi: I am URGENTLY in need of some book or web site OR tool that will help me integrate a relatively simple access application into a web page or pages. This is a time recording system (by project), and I would be more than wiling to pull the updated database down from the Host using FTP on a monthly basis. Its just that I need to understand how to set it up on the web site itself. The Host supports SQL. Any direction you can give would...

I am working on an electronic flashcard application. I have one version up and running using Visual Basic (6.0) and Access 2000. My long-range plans are to put it up on a website and sell subscriptions. But that is probably 2-3 releases away. In the meantime, I would like to put it up on the website for testing. I have been reading here and elsewhere that Access is not suitable for a web-based implementation. Is that because is was...

Like a lot of database developers, I often choose Jet for the back- end. I'm starting to worry about what will happen when Jet is deprecated. Ostensibly, Jet users like me must switch to SQL Server (or MSDE / SQL Express), but there's something I just don't understand. Without Jet, how will we create file server database applications? In other words, how will we create multi-user apps which use a file server to share data and don't...

I need to filter an Access 2000 result set in ASP 30 using the ADO recordset.filter. I build the filter in pieces. The first clause of the filter is this... WHERE word LIKE 'S%' ... to which other clauses are appended with AND. This all works fine as long as I provide a condition for the first clause

Hello, I am using Ekhau Location Tracking System for an assignment. It is a system that is able to track configured tags attached to people or objects. I am new to the Ekahau Location Tracking System, but I have quite a good idea how it works. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
