hi there.
i'm thinking of developing an app using Java to manage a library
(books, clients, orders..etc).
I am not sure of how to store the data, maybe using files or a DBMS.
The ammount of data is probably not much to justify the use of a DBMS.
I wanted to know your opinion, and how can i implement it?
I've searched some JDBC drivers, but most of it are not free :( I found
one free for MySQL.

Is there some program that is simular to java's hsqldb
(http://hsqldb.sourceforge.net/). It is a relational database that can
easily be used within a small java program without installing a MySQL,
Postgresql etc. It is used within the same virtual machine whitout
installing anything extra.

Studying OOP and noticed that Python does not have Interfaces. Is
that correct? Is my schooling for nought on these OOP concepts if I
use Python. Am I losing something if I don't use the "typical" oop
constructs found in other languages (Java, C# come to mind.) I'm
