Does anyone know of a good component for audio(.WAV) playback that supports
double-speed/normal/half-speed? I need to provide this control
in an .aspx page and control it using C#.
I have tried using the DirectX playback but it is very limited and doesn't
support variable speed from what I have seen. I've also read
postings that say to avoid it... Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
Thanks,
Brett++

played music from PC. i can access line-in (mic) from multiple
API's.(Directsound, wavein) but I am unable find a way to record
currently playing sounds. Is there a way to access data from sound
card?
Any help in this regard will be of great help.

nodes that when clicked play an audio clip that is stored on the CD and
navigate the browser control to a specified web URL (also stored on the CD).
All the web URLs are html documents...

I am trying to control the playback of a tutorial I am building in Flash 8 Basic. I want the user to be able to go through the tutorial in two ways:
1) by manually clicking forward and back buttons; and,
2) by clicking a "PLAY" button and having the tutorial drive itself.
It's this second method that is killing me. Here's what I'm trying to do:
Each step, or page, of the tutorial is set up on a different frame.
I want the automatic...

(I asked this on pythonmac-sig a couple days ago but got no response, so I'm
casting a broader net.)
Can I easily control audio record/playback from Python on my Mac? I know
zip about audio recording or about Apple APIs via Python. Pointers to
simple examples would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
