Async example of SSL in M2Crypto

Has anyone tried the echod-async.py example in m2crypto-0.12/demo/ssl?
I am only connecting one client, the echo.py example in the same directory.
Although the synchronous and threading examples work ok, the async server
goes into an infinite loop:-

LOOP: SSL accept: before/accept initialization
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client hello A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write server hello A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write certificate A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write key exchange A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write certificate request A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 flush data
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client certificate A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client key exchange A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 read certificate verify A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 read finished A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write change cipher spec A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 write finished A
LOOP: SSL accept: SSLv3 flush data
INFO: SSL accept: SSL negotiation finished successfully
LOOP: SSL accept: before/accept initialization
INFO: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client hello B
INFO: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client hello B
INFO: SSL accept: SSLv3 read client hello B

I'm runnung on a newish linux, kernel 2.4.21. Both python2.1 and python2.3
display the same result.

Regards, Paul Clinch

I tried to adapt the instructions for building the M2Crypto module (http://sandbox.rulemaker.net/ngps/m2/INSTALL.html) to build a version compatible with Python2.3, but I've had some mixed results. I actually got everything to build and install, but when I try to import M2Crypto-- well, here is a sample session: >>> import M2Crypto Traceback (most recent call last): File "<interactive input>", line 1, in ? Hi, all; I'm strictly an amateur developer who has dabbled in a half dozen languages on eight or nine systems over 20 years or so. I have never devoted the time or energy to thoroughly learn any one of them, so I have become a true JOATAMON (Jack Of All Trades And Master Of None). I apologize in advance for any truly newb sounding questions. I did Google for this in several places first (Zope.org, Gentoo forums, and Google UseNet...

Back in March, I posted this: That was for M2Crypto 0.17. It's still broken in M2Crypto 0.18. And there's no RPM or Windows binary. Nobody actually uses this stuff, do they?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
