names proposals

Hi,

I'm finishing an open source crossplatform pure python collaborative text
edition software, similar to SubEthaEdit. Essencially it is a stripped down
version of LeoN (take a look at http://ryalias.freezope.org/souvenirs/leon)

Actually I'm searching a names for such software. I would like to have a
descriptive name, not things like 'yasu' (yet another sofware unamed),
etc...

My first idea was MultiEdit, but that name was already took.

So now I have in my list:

PluriPen
Chalks
Quills
PluriQuills
PluriChalk

'Chalks' is my favourite, but I think it can be done better.
Any sugestion ?
(please check at google first to see if the name is already used or not)

PyCon DC 2003 had a broad range of presentations, from reports on academic and commercial projects to tutorials and case studies, and we hope to extend that range this year. As long as the presentation is interesting and potentially useful to the Python community, it will be considered for inclusion in the program. The...

The Python Software Foundation is seeking grant proposals for projects related to the further development of Python, Python-related technology, and educational resources. The PSF plans to issue calls for proposals regularly. Proposals should be for specific projects with a clear objective, rather than support for ongoing activities. Proposals should be brief (a few pages of text), and they should explain: a. what the objective of the...

Thanks to all the proposal authors so far, we have received lots of proposals for PyCon talks & tutorials. But we'd like to have even more. Alas, the proposal submission deadline should have been set after a weekend, not before. So we have decided to extend the proposal submission deadline to Monday, November 19 at midnight (Chicago time). This gives you a *whole extra weekend* to write up your talk and tutorial ideas! If you've been...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
