Hi There, We are extending Python interpreter to support special functions of our tools. What we did is to compile Python's source code (which is got from the an installation on a Linux environment for Python 2.3.3) and our extensions (C++ code) on Windows with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 compiler to generate the extended Python interpreter. It works well on Linux and for the basic Python modules and our special modules on Windows. But...

Trying to get moinmoin wiki working on Windows 2000 using IIS and python. I get the following error when trying to view the start page after insalling moinmoin and python - key error seems to be at the end related to socket.py (ImportError: WSAStartup failed: error code 10107). 10107 is "A system call that should never fail has failed"...which isn't very helpful. Any ideas what the problem may be? Thanks, Ralph

Hello, I am using the numpy fromfile function to read binary data from a file on disk. The problem is that the program runs fine on a Mac, but gives an error or warning on windows when trying to read the data. I use it like this: Signal = zeros((N, 16), dtype=float32) for sample in range(0, N): # this function gets the next position in the file to seek to s = getFilePos(sample)

Hallo, I like Python 2.6 and I like to use it anywhere, even within Windows PE. In former version of Python (<= 2.5.x) it was easy to bring it to a Windows PE system: Install Python to Windows XP or Vista and (robo-) copy the whole directory off Python (and all sub directories) to the Windows PE system, adapt the path and it works.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
