I guess there's python at the bottom of php? Anyway, is someone here
familiar with the message that looks like

IMO this is not so nice. I can't get to my mail. I can get to it via my normal Eudora,
so they suggested webmail, which worked once, and hasn't worked several times. I wonder
if there is a memory leak or mis-counting, and I just lucked out once to hit it soon
after a re-start. I could filter the mail, but I can't get the stream to filter it :-(
Sorry about the OT, but I thought maybe it could be on topic sort of if there were a
python memory leak behind it. Anyway, not happy with this, sorry. I would imagine this
has happened to a few people, so before I go chasing sourceforge squirrelmail bug stuff,
has anyone been there already and have more clue than I? TIA.

Entering the error message verbatim into Google would have helped ;-)
The solution is to change the memory_limit parameter in the php.ini
file. Of course you'll need admin privileges for this ;-)

Thanks. And, sorry, I should have mentioned (especially after ranting at someone about
not posting enough background info ) that I saw that advice ;-/
I was hoping to hear something about ongoing work on a fix (and I would say the need is
for a fix, not a workaround bandaid, because IMO a production-used tool should fail
more gracefully re space limits, and certainly not leave you with your existing
data inaccessible).
I am wondering whether to give up on current-style email as communication.
I wonder who is happy about the global email system being so trashed with spam etc.

If anybody has experienced the following SquirrelMail error:
Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to xx.xx.xx.xx:143 in
/home/virtual/siteX/fst/var/www/squirrelmail/functions/imap_general.php
on line 172
or something similar, then listen up, here's the solution. PHP 4.3.x
has known bugs with file handle and socket leak issues. This is true
up to PHP 4.3.3. The only solution for now is to revert to PHP 4.2.x.
I'm told that this...

Hi all,
I try to set up an email web-server with an IMAP interface. For the web
interface I use Squirrelmail. PHP is installed. The web server is Xitami.
PHP runs well, but Squirrelmail doesn't. The redirection in PHP under Xitami
does not work. I followed some hints and tips, but it didn't work out for
me.
Is there anybody who has experience with this setup and may be willing to
help me out?

Hi!
I have a script that uses a lot of memory and an ISP that has memory-limit
set to 10 Mb. The script of course doesn't finish running. :(
The program is rather simple - it parses XML into an array and then starts
the loop that inserts data into the database. If I use a very large XML
file then the PHP crashes inside the loop (Fatal error: Allowed memory size
of 10485760 bytes exhausted) - indicating that the problem lies within loop...

Thanks for your help.
I wish I could do that; however our IT department is ... Zelis ... About
security; it's a school district, so lots of confidential data, etc, etc
(their reason).
Oh well, I'll look for an imap server on the network if I can, but I doubt
I'll find it normally.
If anyone else has any other info, I'd appreciate it.

Hey everybody,
I'm developing a database in Access 2002 for my school's journal to track incoming articles as they make their way through publication. Only 1 editor is reading an article at a time, but many have access to the database and may update information about the article (expedite requests, etc.)
What I want is that if editor 1 enters his name as "reader," then editor 2 updates the information about the article, an email is...

I'm using the following code to send a welcome letter to a user after they've registered with their username/password. Everything seems to work, but when I test the registration with my squirrelmail accounts and comcast account, I don't receive the email, Gmail & some other accounts work fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
