How can one set the terminal services profile and home
directory path in AD using VB.NET? I can set the usual
profile paths, but terminal services properties are not
supported with ADSI.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cross posting this question on the recommendation of an
I have a .NET application that I am developing in C# I am loading
information in from a dataset, and then pushing the dataset to a grid, or
other controls depending on the particular form. This application is setup
with one MDI parent calling MDI children with the exception of one Modal
form (the report viewer).
When I run the application and run one of the screens that pulls...

I have the problem that I need to interact with a CD/DVD burning program
called gear. I do this by running it in a pseudo terminal.
I also need to log what I'm doing, so I copy all output I get from gear
to a logfile. The problem is that gear uses terminal control commands to
create a nice commandline interface.
I can filter out all non printable characters to get something I can put
in my logfile, but this leaves a lot of the terminal...

Here's what my code is supposed to do (it seems to work fine)
Take a char* array and remove a first character from it....as simple as
that.
The mentioned char* array is a 'global' var shared among threads.
Declared as : char* buffer = (char*) malloc(bufferSize)
(later I changed it to use C++ 'new', but it does the same thing)

Hi,
I'm puzzled by some strange behavior when my Python/Tkinter
application quits (on linux): the terminal from which I started Python
is messed up.
If start up python, then import the code below, then start the program
with Application(), then click the Quit button, my terminal never
prints anything again (such as commands I type).

I'm working on a terminal emulator for an embedded system.
The key requirements are small size, code clarity, maintainability, and
portability. We have machines that regularly see a service life of 30 years
so it's not impossible that this code will be around that long.
I'm trying to use termcap info to map incoming strings to display
actions.
In other words, I have an array that holds termcap info:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
