Anyone has "pyuploader.zip " from Parnassus ?

Hi,

For my education I'd like to take a peek at "CGI Uploader", an old script
that can be found on Vaults Of Parnassus ( http://py.vaults.ca/apyllo.py?
find=uploader ).

Unfortunately that is hosted on Parnassus itself :
http://www.vex.net/~x/python_stuff.html

I can access the page itself, but no file linked there will actually
download. I have notified VoP, but I'm fully aware this has got to be low-
priority stuff ;-)

In the meanwhile, if anyone happens to have a copy of this file lying
around :

http://www.vex.net/~x/archive.py/pyupload.zip

....I'd appreciate being mailed a copy (the return address in this post
should work).

TIA,
fp

I would like to create a "binary" distribution for Windows, but in zip format, since the installer requires root access. I don't want to use sdist because that includes all the C source and the source for generating documentation etc. When I try bdist_dumb, or "bdist --formats=zip", the zip has the files with *absolute* paths, as found on *my* system. This doesn't seem to make sense, since anyone with Python not installed in the same...

I have a resume in PDF format and I want anyone who LEFT-OR-RIGHT clicks the link to force the file to be saved, and in any event _not_ opened. Since the PDF will be in his cache in any event, I would just as soon place the employer in control of what directory he wishes to save it in, and there are two salient reasons for this: 1. I want him to OWN the document 2. I want him to FIND the document, quickly, on his hard drive In any...

I have a Collection that inherits from CollectionBase and Implements IBindingList which I have bound to a DataGrid. So far everything works fine. However, I am missing one piece to the IBindingList that I haven't figured out yet, how to determine which DataGrid column header I clicked on so I can do a custom sort. Right now the sort is rotating just to see that everything works. There are two pieces of the IBindingList that I didn't...

I have created an application that will dynamically load other DLLs (plugins). The new plugin is a winform with an embedded IE Browser. I am wanting to have the form to run in its own thread. This would allow for other plugins and the main application to be free to do other work. I have written a little TestDriver for the plugin and am having some difficulty. If I don't use threads everything works just fine. If I do use threads, upon...

I'm in the process of making a custom directory listing script for my website, and I want to learn how to mimic Gmail's feature that lets you download all the attachments in an e-mail as a single .zip file. I have lots of little folders which some of my users need to frequently download the contents of, so I'm curious how this is done. Does anyone have any suggestions to at least get me started in the right direction?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
