I'm playing around with writing my own panel applets, and I'm trying
to figure out how to get my panel applets to be restored when I log
in. As an experiment, I'm using the simple clock applet that comes
with PyGNOME (clock-applet.py). It works fine when I run it from the
shell, but when I log out and log in again, there's just a tiny
GNOME-foot icon where the applet should be.

Is Tkinter also compatible wih GNOME?
I wrote a program in python that displays 2 buttons for starting and stopping the
execution of a program.
I used Tkinter for the gui.
I want the program to run as a daemon when linux is booted.
I want the buttons to be displayed at the presession login screen.
I am using Fedora core 4 with GNOME
I cannot seem to get the buttons to display at the presession screen.

I'm having trouble getting a new PHP/MySQl installation to work.
Windows XP Pro, IIS 5.1, PHP 5.1.1, MySQL 5.0.16, ISAPI
This is a new computer. The whole setup is for development use only -
no access from beyond my own network.
PHP seems to be working OK. I can open a test.php page ok - It
executes down to the statement where I try to connect to the MySQL
database. At that point, nothing further happens. The page is served

I have a page which I enter thusly:

and inside mypage.phtml I do this:
$absid = $_GET;
Unfortunately, and I can't easily fix this in the short term, my
"somestring" may contain "absid=456". I think this screws up

Customizing can be interesting and of course there is no shortage of things you can customize.
Here is an example:
#launch gnome-terminal, resize to 80 wide 12 tall, then launch irb
gnome-terminal --geometry=80x12 -x irb
It wouldn't be much fun to type that every time so I just put it into a launcher of its own and then I'm only one click away from what I want.

So XFCE has this problem with TweetDeck because TweetDeck only knows about gnome-keyring daemons.
Apparently Adobe Air and TweetDeck can't figure out the pid of gnome-keyring on their own, or describe this error in any detail other than stating that I am running...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
