Howdy!
I'm trying to get my head around Python and I've come to realize that
there are a lot of idioms in Python that are a bit different than in
other languages. I have a class similar to what I've included below.
The only difference is that in the real class, I have even more
mandatory attributes. Too many to specify at once on a constructor and
they don't always exist at construction time anyway, so the accessor
idiom must remain.

I don't understand that: I try to delete a record via JDBC. But I always
get the error SQL7008 with the error code 3. It seems that this has
something to do with journaling, since the table from which I want to
delete has two foreign keys that references two other tables and it is
also referenced by another table. But this shouldn't be a problem, since I
set the commit mode to none (or *none) at all places where this makes...

people say the use of accessors is not Pythonic. But why? And what is
the alternative? I refrain from using them because they smell
"Javaish."

Interprocess communication is tedious and out of question, so I thought about simply using a more Python interpreter instances (Py_NewInterpreter) with extra GIL in the same process.

I understand that the standard Python distribution is considered
the C-Python. Howerver, the current C-Python is really a combination
of C and Python implementation. There are about 2000 Python files
included in the Windows version of Python distribution. I'm not sure
how much of the C-Python is implemented in C but I think the more
