Plotting Package for Python 2.3

Hi,
I am looking for a good plotting package (preferably with 3D plotting
capabilities) based on Python 2.3 (Windows 98). Unfortunately Dislin
does not exist for Python 2.3.
I look forward to suggestions from members.

Hi:

Do you know this from experience that DISLIN will not work on Python
2.3? I mean it would be strange, though.

It's just the typical Windows luser's way of saying (s)he hasn't found a
binary package and (s)he doesn't have any free or commercial compiler
for Windows installed :-/

Shame on you. Windows users need many things, but not among them is your
contempt, nor your generalization.

Hi - I've been getting good results using the DISLIN data plotting package with Python. But I've been unable to plot points instead of curves. Can someone tell me how to turn off the between-points interpolation? And if there is a way to do it, is there a way to change the style of points plotted? Thanks, Bob Perlman

Hello All, I am creating a visual programming environment for python (similar to Matlab's simulink, but for python). For several reasons I have decided not to go with OGL. I am writing a wxOGL replacement library for wxPython. My first thought was to create an exact drop in replacement for OGL, but the more I look at the OGL api the more I hesitate to do it.

I'm interesting in finding the ultimate cross-platform python plotting module. So far I've used scipy.gplt and biggles which both have disadvantages. There is no python 2.3 binary package for biggles in windows, and scipy.gplt doesn't seem to work with MacMillan's installer in Windows. I haven't tried py2exe yet. I need a plotting program this is: -Cross platform (linux and windows) and can build into binary form, or easy to install...

I've been looking for a decent 3D plotting library with support for user selection that works under OpenGl, preferable with wxPython. For this first project I need to do a 3D scatter plot with different colors and glyphs (spheres, crosses, etc.) for the points. The axes will be labeled and I would like both mouseover and mouse click selection. There will be at most 2,000 points. I've found several for making graphs, like DISLIN, but...

Can anyone recommend a fast cross-platform plotting package for 2-D plots? Our situation: We are driving an instrument that outputs data at 20Hz. Control is via an existing Tkinter application (which is being extended for this new instrument) that runs on unix, mac and windows. We wish to update 5-10 summary plots at approximately 2 Hz and will be offering controls to control the instrument and the plots, preferably (but not...

My python program spits lot of data. I take that data and plot graphs using OfficeOrg spredsheet. I want to automate this task as this takes so much of time. I have some questions. 1. Which is the best graph plotting utility in python or linux. Can I write a code in such a way that my python code automatically gives me a graph. I know little about gnuplot. If you know any better tool without much learning curve please tell me in Linux. ...

Is there an easy scientific graphics (plotting) package for Python 2.5.1 running on Ubuntu Linux 7.1 ("Gutsy Gibbon")? A few years ago I used PyLab (a MatLab-like plotting module for Python) on a Windows machine, but I don't know if there is a similar easy-to-install-and-use Python 2.5.1-compatible graphics package for Ubuntu Linux 7.1? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
