Is it possible to extract the email-body from a IMAP-mail-file ?
The function 'imap_body()' expects that I'm connected to an IMAP-server, but
I'm not. I just have the file.
So I'm looking for a possiblity to use imap_body and give the name of the
file as a parameter.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all!
As I saw Alex Martelli's post about a mbox cleaner based on POP3, I thought,
it could be possible to do that based on IMAP too. That way I could ask the
server for mails having attached EXE files and delete all those mails on the
server. This would save me a lot of traffic over my phone line connection.
But I'm missing one important thing: How do I get the server to tell me
about attachments.

Hi, I'm looking to setup an email system that will log into a catchall
account, read to addresses and forward them to a different email address
stored in a MySQL table. I may also allow the users to store these emails in
their own accounts at a future date.
I've got the IMAP checking etc etc working just fine. However this will be
more troublesome if someone includes an attachment. Firstly, the
imap_body($mbox,$num) chucks out loads of...

Dear List,
I'm trying to figure out, how to change the header of an e-mail that is
accessed by an IMAP object.
There is some code below (not a complete program). The key function is
the filter_mail function. It should move/delete/change/export messages,
based on their header. For exporting messages, I use this: "typ, dat =
self.conn.uid('FETCH',self.uid,'(RFC822)') ". The only thing I don't
know how to do, is to insert/modify/delete...

Greetings,
I currently have incoming email piped to a php script using a .forward
file. I would like to be able to parse the incoming mail, perform
operations, and then fire back an email (immediately) to the sender.
Is there any way that I can use the php IMAP functions on either the
php://stdin stream (the means through which the email is piped as raw
text) or on a plain string?
If not, are there any recommendations for what I can...

Hey,
I am writing small library to IMAP protocol. I wonder how to receive e-mails without attachments?
I was reading it
http://www.bobpeers.com/technical/telnet_imap
and chapter in RFC about FETCH Command.
But I can receive emails only with attachments or only with plain text.
I have seen packages from thunderbird. They receive BODYSTRUCTURE and then they fetch useful part with part specifiers(1.1.MIME etc).
Unfortunatelly I dont...

I'm trying to get a list of messages from GMAIL using it's new IMAP
access.
So far I've tried running this command but it just hangs. Any ideas?
I figured that's the first line to run from this example:
http://docs.python.org/lib/imap4-example.html
Here are the configuration settings GMAIL says to use:

I have an application, which uses pop3 to read the messages from the mailbox, and it has been working fine for so many year. We recently have started changing this application to use java mail IMAP 4 instead of Pop3.
Primary reason for that :- Is we want to better meet out SLA, so we have decided to go with the 2 instances of this application, and hence decided to use IMAP4 to concurrently accessing the mailboxes via IMAP4.
My issues:- Now...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
