I've got a: "start server thread > Queue object, start server thread <>
Queue object, start parsing client < Queue object" application that's
got me puzzled. Probably an easy threads issue, but after digging thru
Programming Python and Python Recipes sections on Threading class and
running thru the examples, I'm still missing something.
My...

Just posting this for the sake of google:
Like everyone else, I figured it's time to start using the 'logging'
module.
I typically want to dump "info" level (and up) log information to
screen, and "debug" level (and up) to a log file for in-depth
analysis. This is for scripts, so date/time/severity information is
not wanted. I assumed...

Hello everyone!
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on my ever daunting mysql/php
problem.
I'm currently trying to get a new server up and running using
apache/php/mysql. Everything runs fine, except every so often (very random)
mysql will not autenticate the username and password. Once you hit refresh
it goes through fine.

I am wondering if the "swap bug" is present on my kernel/version of
RedHat 9 as described at:
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=89226
It looks like the OS prefers to fill the swap instead of releasing the
"unused" memory and use the available RAM. This problem is especially
present when starting the MySQL server and...

Hi, everybody!
I was wonderring if there is a way to make logrotate work with postgres
logs?
More precisely, the question is - is there any way to tell a running
postmaster process to reopen its log file?
I tried kill -HUP ... but that doesn't seem to do anything...
Is there just no way to do what I want?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
