I have a php script which simply stops midway through a while loop
that processes records returned by a MySQL query. The HTML page
continues trying to load the page but the php has stopped running and
eventually I get a timeout. The script is running in my development
environment which consists of php 4.3.4, Apache 1.3.28 and MySQL
4.0.17, installed on Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
I suspect that there may be a problem with my...

Hi,
I have an application that has an embedded/extended Python interpreter. I
need to add
database capabilities and for reasons to lengthy to explain in this email,
also require
an embedded database server. I have tentatively chosen mySQL 4.0 due to
the apparent
ease of embedding, along with it having all the necessary database
functionality I need.

Howdy everyone~
i heard Python could be used in web programming and aftering searching many docs just found something on Python and CGI. the fact is i know nothing about CGI and most of my projects(both of company and myself) are established with PHP and ASP. now the questions come:
1. Could Python be used in web programming ? (i guess yes ?)
2. If the answer of above is yes, then can we programms with Python in both server and client...

The mysql-python page at sourceforge.net contains beta versions of
mysqldb (specifically 0.9.3b2). This does have the necessary embedded
server support. Some amount tweaking of...

Hey,
Can anyone give me a snippet for running a python program over all the files
in the directory.
For ex: I have ten files in a directory and I want to run a python program
against all of these files, I wish to do the same using another python code
instead of running each of these files one by one, which would be cumbersome
giving the argv of each file every single time.
This can be easily done using a shell script but I just...

Interesting. Could you give a few illustrations of this? (I didn't run
into the same problem at all, so I'm curious.)

I've been installing Python and its supporting packages on
a dedicated server with Fedora Core 6 for about a day now.
This is a standard dedicated rackmount server in a colocation
facility, controlled via Plesk control panel, and turned over
to me with Fedora Core 6 in an empty state. This is the
standard way you get a server in a colo today.
Bringing Python up in this completely clean environment is
a huge hassle, and it doesn't...

Hi all,
I have a mac mini running maocosx 10.5 leopard I want to deploy a
django project on. My backend is MySQL, and I have it running as a 64-
bit app. Of course, apache2 is also running as 64-bit.
MySQLdb installs with the usual warnings after applying the various
patches I found here and there. These patches consist of altering
_mysql.c and site.cfg.

I am embedding Python in a MSVC++ (2005) application. The application
creates some environment and then launches a Python script that will
call some functions exported from the MSVC++ application.
I want to be able to debug the Python script by using a debug server,
like Winpdb (winpdb.org).
I use ActivePython 2.5.2.2, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, and Winpdb
1.3.8.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
