It shouldn't be hard to implement. If you have a bit of python
knowledge you could contact me & write a patch. Otherwise file it as a
feature request.

I have noticed that the meaning of visibility: collapse has been discussed on different forums, but with no consensus on what it really means. Besides, implementations differ. The specification says: "The 'visibility' property takes the value 'collapse' for row, row group, column, and column group elements. This value causes the entire row or column to be removed from the display, and the space normally taken up by the row or column to...

Hi, I have example html below which contains a couple of hidden divs. However, some of the table borders within these hidden divs are actually displayed when they should not be. In my example, I have comments indicating that if I remove the 'border-collapse' attribute for two of the tables within the hidden divs, my problem is fixed.

C# is great but it does have some short comings. Here, I examine one of them which I definitely think is a shortcoming. Coming from C++, there seems to be no equivalent in C# to separate code cleanly for the user's benefit. Why is this important? Because a user gets to maintain this code, not a machine. C++ exposed us to header files which was a way, among other things, to cleanly separate class implementation from declaration. Why was...

Hi I need a datagrid on a page, but it is rendered with the style "border-collapse:collapse;". I do not need this style. It interferes with the settings in my CSS file. I tried to supress it with this code (1 line of code): DataGrid1.ControlStyle.Reset(); which works.

SPE's site (http://pythonide.stani.be/) has been inaccessible to me for at least a day. Can anyone else get to it? I looked on Google and didn't see any new locations for SPE. Has it recently moved to somewhere else? I dimly recall a post by Stani wherein he said he might move the site, but I can't find it... John

SPE was hosted for a long while by Zettai. I'd like to thank them again for their wonderful service. Unfortunately they will go out of business. So SPE is looking for a new webhost. These are the requirements: - python framework (Zope/Plone, django, turbogears, ...) - I have the freedom to use this website also for other projects besides SPE (such as sdxf (open source dxf library for python), my own portfolio, ... - I am allowed to...

Hi everyone, The editor in spe on my system (win XP home sp2) does not do automatic indentation..... I can't figure out why - it used to. I'm set up with subversion so I have the very latest stuff from Stani. It's amazing how not having automatic indentation can make working in the ide such a pain. This has been going on for a while (like a few years), and the situation is deteriorating - used to be that the indentation would work for a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
