Network Programming Information

Hello. It's me again. Thanks for all the help with
the Python Networking Resources, but does anyone know
what I'll need to know to write a paper on Network
Programming and Python. Like terminology and all
that. Maybe I'll have a section on socketets, TCP,
Clients (half of the stuff I don't even know what it
means). So, does anyone know any good websites with
Network Programming information. Thanks!

John

John,
I think this book contains everything you need to know both for writing a
paper and for writing code:

Foundations of Python Network Programming
by John Goerzen

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

It is a fine book and a good investement.

My questions are 1. How good a language is C++ for network programming? 2. what are good onine resources to learn C++ network programming? 3. How similar it is to Java socket programming? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am starting a project that requires data transfer via UDP. It will be between two different computers. I have all of the information that needs to be sent in the packet and what the return packets are. What I do not know is how to open a UDP connection in C++ and structure the packet to send. This is for a home built simulator running the X-Plane software. The sim will be on one computer and is configurable to send data out...

Hello, everyone. I just began school, and they already assigned us science fair. Since I'm in 8th grade, I get to do demonstrations for our projects. I'm probably going to demonstrate Python's networking capabilities by writing a simple instant messenger program. I only have a few problems: 1. I know squat about Python network Programming 2. I know nothing about networks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
