I'd want to pickle a complex Python data structure and save it as
a blob in a relationnal database.
Now I do that, and I can retrieve it with no problem and then unpickle it.
But if I upgrade Python some day, will I still be able to unpickle datas
which were pickled with old versions and stored in my database ?
If not, then is there another module which would be version independant ?

I'm trying to create e-mail content using the email.MIMEText module.
It basically works, until I tried to send mail in non-ascii format.
What I did, to test both iso-8859-15 and UTF-8 encodings, was this:

I have been trying to parse emails:
But I could not find any examples or snippets of
parsing emails in python from the documentation.
Google did not help me much too.
I am trying to understand the module 'email' and the
functions described there to parse email but seems
difficult.

I am relatively new to Python. Love it, but I find things that I can do
easily in .NET and cannot find a way to do in Python. I need to format a
number as currency, for example 12343.56 to $12,343.56.
In C# all I need to do is decimal x = 12343.56 then x.ToString("$###,###.00");
I cannot find a way to do this in Python. I must be missing something very
simple here. I have tried the locale module but it will not put in the commas.
