I have PHP code (below) which reads data from a MySQL format database. The
problem I am having is trying to find out when the last ID entry was made.
When the script is executed, the $gbID is supposed to be read and display
the last entered ID number ($How_many_entries) - the ID number is entered /
updated automatically in another PHP script...

Hello,
Lately I came accross this problem a couple of times, and I know there
must be a clever solution. However, I did not find it untill now.
When I add a entry to my mysql database from a PHP form, it gives the
document an 'id number', which is generated by MySQL. In my PHP script
I would like to continue with id, since that is easier....

Hi,
I'm using mySQL and wanted to get the ID of the record that I have just
inserted in to the table (sentmessages). There is a function in mySQL that
appears to be able to perform this task but I am not having any luck in
getting it to work.
Anybody else tried, successfully or not, to use this ?
The function is called LAST_INSERT_ID()...

Hi!
Many people have complained over years that Borland's dbExpress driver does
not work with MySQL and transactions, because it disconnects from mysqld
after each SQL statement. The postings below suggests that this problem
might now be fixed by Borland.
Best regards,
Heikki Tuuri

Hi guys,
I don't know if this is possible. My guess is it isn't but I'll give it a try.
Is it possible to get the ID (autonumber) of the current row I'm inserting.
I know you can use LAST_INSERT_ID() method but it only works if I do this after the INSERT. What I'd like to achieve is something like this
INSERT INTO tb_page...

Hi,
I have PHP function that adds a record to the database. The table has
an ID that is AUTO_INCREMENT. Is there anyway to get that ID back
when I do any kind of insert? That ID is a foreign key that I need to
do an insert on afterwards.
Thanks.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
