Hello friends;
I need to give somebody the permission to access somewhere in the system.
That permission can be through the group or user, but I has found problems
with using of inherits. What is the good solution to this situation? It would be
better to remove all FK and PK, and use other ways? how can I do it?
CREATE TABLE identify(
id_identify SERIAL PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL,
name TEXT NOT NULL
);
CREATE TABLE team(
constraint "pk1" primary key ("id_identif y")
)
INHERITS(identi fy);
CREATE TABLE userdb(
constraint "pk2" primary key ("id_identify") ,
nick_name TEXT NOT NULL,
passwd TEXT NOT NULL
)
INHERITS(identi fy);
CREATE TABLE permission(
id_identidade INTEGER NOT NULL REFERENCES identify(id_ide ntify),
permited_local text
);
insert into userdb (name,nick_name ,passwd) values ('john','brasil ian','123');
insert into permission values(1,'admin _page.html') -- Occur an error!!!!
Thanks

Hello all,
The example below demonstrates proper conformance to the C++ standard.
However, I'm having a hard time getting my brain around which language rules
make this proper...
The error below *should* happen, but my question to the community is *why*
does it happen? Any answer will be appreciated, but a section and paragraph
number from the C++ Standard would be especially appreciated.

It seems no pattern defined by GoF takes advantage of multiple
inheritance. I am wondering if there is a situation where multiple
inheritance is a necessary solution.
When coding in C++, should multiple inheritance still be avoided?
If yes, why multiple inheritance is introducted into C++?

Structural inheritance (inheriting implementation) is equivalent to
composition in that a particular method must either call 'Base::foo' or
invoke 'base.foo'. Apparantly, The Literature tells us to prefer
composition over inheritance. Can anyone provide some reasons why this
is the case (based on "real-world" experience)? For example, is
structural inheritance more difficult to maintain? More difficult to
test? Have a larger impact on...

Hello Experts!!
Here we use multiple inheritance from two classes.We have a class named
Person at the very top
and below this class we have a Student class and an Employee class at the
same level.
There is a class TeachingAssistent that use multiple inheritance from both
Student and Employee.
There is a method named getName is class Person.

I want to know why C# doesnt support multiple inheritance? But why we can
inherit multiple interfaces instead? I know this is the rule, but I dont
understand why. Can anyone give me some concrete examples?

For anyone who is just getting into VB.NET and/or is starting to work
with inheritance I would like to point out a potential pitfall. We
found this confusion recently when code-reviewing an application. If
you have not used the keyword 'Overridable' then read on for sure...
If you setup a child class and you want to override a method in your
base class, you may see the squiggles under your child's method name.
The pop-up/build error says...

Hi all - I'm preparing to dive in to more complex application
development using javascript, and among other things, I'm having a hard
time wrapping my head around an issues regarding "inheritance" using
the prototype property. I realize there are no classes in JS, that code
therefore lives in objects instead of class definitions, and that
"inheritance" must be achieved prototypically and not classically.
That said, on with the code. Say I...

I remember reading on parashift recently, that "Composition is for code
reuse, inheritance is for flexibility" see
(http://www.parashift.com/c++-faq-lite/smalltalk.html#faq-30.4)
This confused me somewhat as I have always thought you get code reuse
"for free" with inheritance. Am I missing something?. Will someone care
to explain ??

Hi,
I am trying to manage (add, remove) properties within the property grid (or window) in VS 2005 c# , but I can't do it.
I read many forums, but none of them actually works.
I don't have any problems with adding new properties, but when i try to remove one from the property grid it won't disappear.
I tried the following:
public new bool Enabled

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
