Problem with executing Postgres function from javacode

1 New Member
boolean retval = false;
StringBuffer sql = new StringBuffer();
ResultSet rst = null;
conn.setAutoCom mit(false);
sql.append("sel ect assign_customer s() ");
Statement st = conn.createStat ement();
retval = st.execute(sql. toString());

When I execute assign_customer s through pgadmin , it works. But within javacode
I do not get any error nor the result gets executed
Assign_customer s doesnt return any values.

Can somebody help me to call this function from javacode

Hi, I've just installed postgres on the Linux server. It is supposed to start automatically which I think it does since I can run an sql stmt right away. When I'm trying to connect from a remote machine I get a message that the remote machine IP address is not specified in pg_hba.conf, that there is no record of that machine there. ph_hba.conf is set up correctly, because when I run the following: postmaster -i -D /var/lib/pgsql/data...

Hi all- I'm migrating to postgres from the MS SQL Server land, as I can see a great potential with postgres, I was wondering if anyone has experimented or started a project with XML inside user defined functions? I've seen the contrib/xml shipped with the distro, as I see it's usefulness, it's not quite what I had in mind (lacks the ablity to return recordset/table of nodes). Also, the project XpSQL seems

Hi I installed a postgres-application (which was developed on debian woody) on red hat 9 today, using the postgres 7.3 rpms from redhad. One of my the triggers uses the pg_settings table (more precisely, it updates that table to change the search_path temporarily). With the postgres 7.3 (and 7.4 too) installed on my debian development system, this worked fine. On redhat 9, however, I get an "pg_settings: permission denied" error when my...

I installed Postgres 8 beta 3 on an XP box, with Postgres running as a service. TaskManager tells me that postgres and postmaster are both running. Using pgAdmin III, I can connect to the server and create users, databases, tables, etc. But at the command line, on the same machine where the service is running, executing createdb mydb

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
