Hi All,
I have a list of varying length. Would someone know the way to get the last
two values for this? I can see how this is done with a list that I know the
length of, but not one thats generated by user input.

example is I'm finding the max number within a certain criteria, and then
adding one to that. However, most IDs are something like K00001 or R00223
So I want the next ID to be either K00002 or R00224
Unfortunately Access is stripping out the leading 0s leaving me with an ID
of K3 or R224.

Hello,
we are using a table with a primary key of type varchar.
If we try to find entries with select * from <table> where <table.key> =
'<text>';
entries with a key length of more than 32 characters are not found.
Entries with a shorter key are found. Using "Like" instead of "=" works for
varchar keys with length > 32 as well.
Does anybody know about this Problem ?

Hi,
I need to calculate the physical length of text in a text
input. The term "physical" means in this context, that I
consider 7bit-Ascii as one-byte-per character. Other characters
may be longer, e.g. cyrillic would be 2 bytes per character.
Is there a safe and easy way to notice non-7bit-Ascii input?

of the text that goes into each of them (the textboxes all have the

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
