Hi,
Has anyone Pg linked to MSSQL or vice versa?
I need to transfer some data MSSQL->PGSQL,
but without writing a complex program.
Maybe using Linked Server (MSSQL),
ODBC / JDBC / OLE DB, but have no experience
with this kind of jobs.

Hi,
I have an Access application with linked tables via ODBC to MSSQL
server 2000.
Having a weird problem, probably something i've done while not being
aware of (kinda newbie).
the last 20 records (and growing)of a specific table are locked - cant
change them - ("another user is editing these records ... ").

Hi,
I am using MSSQL 2k, and I have a linked server set up to an Oracle RDB
version 7. It goes thru an OLE DB provider for ODBC drivers on a system
DSN, which is using an Oracle RDB ODBC driver version 3.0.2.
The problem occurs when I send a query that returns zero rows - query
analyzer just does not complete nor return. This problem is not seen
when there are rows being returned.

I've got such problem:
My database is stored on MSSQL Server. I have to write reports for it in
MSAccess. I've got a problem with creating a query which will select records
from MSSQL table with date and time values from given range. The difficulty
is mainly caused by the fact, that Date and Time is stored in separate rows
as String . I've tried to use CDate() function in my query, but it worked
well only during tests on small table (about...

Hi,
I have a MSSQL Server communicating with an Oracle database through a
MSSQL linked server using a MS ODBC connection.
If I query the Oracle database through the Oracle ODBC 32Bit Test, the
result is fine:
select addrsurname from address where addrnr = 6666;

Hello All-
We are in the process of converting the back end of our large MS
Access application to PostgreSQL. My question today concerns linked
tables and how their connections are managed by Access. It appears that
Access does a *lot* of connecting and disconnecting to these linked
tables. This is causing me a major headache, as I'd really like to
store some session-based information in the back end that can be
referenced by the linked...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
