Hello,
coming from win32 API I recall an ExitThread() call to gently terminate a
thread from inside the same thread .... but now all I can see is an Abort
call which seems to me a wrapper on the TerminateThread() Win32 API which is
a brutal way to end a thread. Is there any other more gentle way to close a
thread???

I'm developing monitoring application(http://chuzhoi_files.tripod.com). I
want to be able to specify a node number during attachment, so I'm using
sqlesetc (API for "set client attach_dbpartitionum" command). If user

I use the default windows phone dialer to make calls from an Access form. I
close the phone dialer after the call is made using the below function. The
problem is I'm not closing the Phone Dialer application properly which
results in the Phone Dialer icon remaining in the system tray. I've tried
using the Windows API to refresh the system tray, but could not get that to

OK, after lots of faffing I have finally gotten remoting working - basically
I have a windows service (the "server") and a forms app (the "client").
The forms app can call methods in the server, and I can get events fired on
the server to be picked up and acted on in the client app, so all is well. I
can even get two client apps on different machines talking to the same
server instance and the events pop up on both.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
