Hi,
I have a question, when you use a random number generator Random() in a loop
to generate say 50000 random numbers; is it any difference if you use
different time interval between each loop instead of a fixed amount of time,
for example using an exponential time interval instead of a fixed time
interval in a loop which generates 50000 random number makes any changes in
results?
Thanks for any help.

Hi all,
I'm trying to format a date in a bound datagrid. In order to do this I've
placed the following as an attribute to the bound column in question:
DataFormatString="{0:dd/mm/yyyy}"
Unfortunately when the date is output, its still showing the time as well,
which I don't want.

Is it possible to have the timer interval in a window's service be derived
from an app.config setting?
When I implemented one a while back I was forced to hard code the value
because it wasn't working. There didn't appear to be any problem with the
code that extracts the value from the key in the config file.
Thanks,

Hello,
I'd like to ask if anyone knows the format /category/13/ where
probably 13 is the ID if it's actually a
directory/file and a script automatically created it when someone
updated his site or they just use
a regex method to extract the number (which means /13/ is virtual), in
our case '13' and then try "select 'bla bla' from table where id='13'
"
which is the same as "$id = $_GET;" with the second type of

Hi,
I'm in the process of converting a VB.net program into a C program so it can run on a unix like machine.
I've been moving along at a nice pace, but this conversion has stumped me.
I need a function to take two arguments:(a double number which may or may not be an integer, and an integer which will be the number of digits to store after the decimal place) it needs to turn this into a string which is always 10 characters long. if the...

Something strange occurred and I thought I'd try to get you guys input on it.
The code:
fprintf(datFile, "%10d%10.3e%10.2f%10.3f\n",(intIndex*100+intPart),gdblX,gdblY,gdblZ);

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
