Hi
I try to upgrade postgresql 7.3.3 to 7.4.3 on my machine running Apache
2.0.49 and PHP 4.3.7
Because i use another path for postgres 7.4 there (luckily) stay a old
libpg
So while i compile php with --with-pgsql=shared an old, 7.3.3 libpg is used
by PHP. Everything fine, run and works.
But specifing for php configure corect path --with-pgsql=path_to_n ew
postgresq , pglib 7.4.3 is used and result (after reboot ) is
Warning: pg_pconnect(): Cannot create new link. Too many open links (0) .
There was not a change of php.ini file and phpinfo() returns proper values ,
correctly find libpg7.4.3 and other properties. I even try to set
pgsql.max_links and pgsql.max_persi stent from -1 (unlimited) to some
value without effect....
Where is a problem ?

Maybe PG ran out of posible conections. Checkout how many conections you have
open (PostgreSQL conections), and how many PHP has of those (php_info() will
give you that info).

Hi,
I've created a mySQL database with the fields id, title and content.
'ID' is a unique field. Any ideas on how I can use PHP to generate a
list of the titles which are links. When you click on a link you are
taken to a page with the content held in the database. I'm guessing the
generated links would be something like /page.PHP?pageid=x based on the
id, that's if this script is possible at all.

we installed a new Postgres 7.4.0 on a Suse 9 system.
This is used as a part of an extranet , based on Apache+PHP and has besides
a ldap
server no services running. The system has dual xeon 2ghz and 2GB RAM.
When migrating all applications from 2 other postgres7.2 servers to the new

I'm having trouble with PHP & PostgreSQL/OpenLDAP/Apache on Windows.
I've set this up countless times on BSD (piece of cake) but I'm trying
to do this on Windows now so that my developer can work on her local

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...
