Has anybody seen this tool? It is awesome. check out
http://vw.vermeer.org/ . It's a php front end for large-scale syslog
deployments. It makes managing syslog in large networks a snap.
The idea is to fifo pipe network syslog into a MySQL database backend.
The php scripts reference the database, and print stuff to the screen.
My Info -> RH9.0 , MySQL 4.0.14, apache1.3.28
I have successfully gotten everything installed, compiled, etc....

Hi,
I have been trying to build an custom report interface for a charity
manangement system; which is part of my dissertation. This interface
will allow the chairty to input a SQL query and submit the query. When
the submit button is executed, it will display the selected column names
and the query data. I am 80% finished but I have encountered a problem
though. I do not know how to display the dynamic column names?! Could
some please...

I have the below query written. I have removed a lot from the select
Statement for simplicity sake. The query takes way too long.
I am moving from an Access backend to a Postgres back with
Access in the front. The below query is taking like 14-20 seconds.
Is their a better way I can write the joins. I would think that
Postgres should be fast than Access. BTW I am writing these as
Pass through queries so it is not a problem with Access....

Hi fellow pgsql users,
I am helping my university's student union get back up and running after
some major server issues they had. They had serious disk issues on a
server, but not on the /var partition where all of the
/var/lib/postgres/data files were. I was able to recover all of it, at
the file-system level.
The old machine and the new machine were both running Debian Linux
3.0-stable and postgresql 7.2.1-2woody4.
