CSN
Is it possible to reverse the order of items returned
from a plpgaql function that uses RETURN NEXT? (order
by col isn't what I want)

select * from my_function();

I don't think ORDER BY can operate without a column to refer to. Looks like
you'll need a parameter on the function so it runs itself backwards.

Hello, I need to some help in reversing an 2-dimensional array. I am working with gif images and I am trying to make the mirror image. I was hoping that someone could help give me a headstart in how I can accomplish this. Also, I don't know the the size of the array before hand as the image can be any size. I already have the my read and write gif functions working, but I just need to know how to reverse the contents.

I need to write a function that takes an integer as a parameter and then returns it reversed (i.e. input: 45678, returned: 87654). Can anyone help?

I have found that when I use the RETURN NEXT command in recursive function, not all records are returned. The only records I can obtain from function are records from the highest level of recursion. Does exist some work-around? Thanks Petr Bravenec example: create table foo (

I have a program that loops through and changes all the elements on an array n times, so my code looks like this: for (n=1; n < n_max; ++n) for(i=imax; i >= 0; --i) { for(j=0 ; j < jmax; ++j) { /* main bulk of code goes here */ } }

Sorry if this is a very faq - I haven't seen the answer here though. The quicksort code below sorts an array from large to small. I simply want it to reverse the sort order: small to large, but can't see how. I've walked through it on paper but am just not seeing it. qsort(double *item,int array_size) { qsort_recurse(item,0,array_size-1); }

Hi World, I am extracting text from an ebcdic header using dd in the cygwin environment (bash/ksh) as below in order to rename the file to something intelligent. I'm using a specific string position here ($10) but the text I extract is sometimes in a different position in the header so I need to search for preceding text "LINE:" and then extract the next string, which is the info I'm interested in. So - using awk or sed (or perl if need...

Hi All, On my windows form, when the user hits the return key, I'll need to treat it as a tab key. i.e. when the user hits a return, the focus will move to the next item in the tab-order on the windows form. I guess I can add a KeyDown event handler for each componet controls on the windows form, but that does not seem to be efficient. Can I do it at the forms level? What i'm thinking is on FORMS if I can get this return event, I can...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
