Hi there!
For a web project I need a little expert help. I don't have written much
code yet, just been fiddling around a bit, testing and planning.
The web site will have a submission page for attendants of a congress.
In a form the user will submit name, mailadress etc. and I plan to store
the data in a list of dictionaries:

I've got an STL class (see below) with two functions to store and
retrieve data - msg structs.
The "Store" function when called will copy the received message
(depending on which message) into the appropriate array. For instance
if I receive a RCVD_MSG1, I'll copy into msg1 . Upon receipt of
the next RCVD_MSG1. I'll copy into msg1 .
The Retrieve function when called should retrieve the latest copy.
ie. msg1 or msg1 .

Hi!
Each week, we receive a two-page PDF file from UPS along with a separate
flat file (a CSV) The PDF file contains the overview of our weekly invoice
and the CSV contains the details of each shipment.
I download the file from UPS and then use DTS to import the data into
SQL. At that point, I have a Crystal report that prints what looks like a
regular UPS invoice. The only problem is that I wind up with having to print
two...

I have a situation where I need to set my constraints and keys
deferrable. Is it safe to update the condeferrable flag in
pg_constraint to true to make this happen? The alternative is to drop
all the constraints and add them back as deferrable.

Almost all of my foreign key definitions are NOT present in
pg_constraint. However, they do exist as triggers. It appears that *new*
foreign keys, whether defined in new tables or added on via "ALTER
TABLE" commands, make it into pg_constraint, but the "old" stuff that
was present from before our 7.3 upgrade, exists only as triggers.
1) Is this a bug?
2) Is there any way to "refresh" pg_constraint? (I'm experimenting with
a tool that...

I'm caching a dataset in an asp.net session variable to hold a user's data.
one data item I need to store is an image the user uploaded. My problem is
that I don't know how to get the image into the dataset because I don't know
what datatype to set the dataset column and then set this image to. I saw
an example where someone defended a datatable in the global class and
defined the column as an object, however, when I define a strongly...

I am trying to write a class that will store info about database fields for
building UPDATE / INSERT commands later on. I cannot seem to get the sytax
correct to pass and store the data type of the field. My class looks like:
Public Class DataTag
Private m_Text As String
Private m_FieldName As String
Private m_ParamName As String
Private m_DataType As System.Type 'the variable type of this field

Right now the database I am working with is storing time in
an Integer data type and is storing the time value in seconds.
The application does not allow entering seconds. It accepts
minutes and hours.
I have a report where it is doing:
SELECT SUM(TIMEENTERED)
and the SUM is *blowing* up as the SUM is reaching

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
