Hi
This is a really weird problem. We have a website that has been running for
about six months with no problems. We have recently moved it to a new
server with a new ISP. The server is of a much higher specification as is
the bandwidth etc. offered by the ISP.
The move went smoothly although some users are reporting problems with a
couple of ASPs that return large amounts of HTML e.g. 1181170 bytes (I just
checked or 13464 bytes...

I have a problem I hope someone can point out where I am going wrong. I need
to store a date/time in a cookie ( ie the date a visitor last visited )
However the date format changes to US, despite LCID being set to UK. I have
googled extensively but can't work it out.

I am new to MySQL and my problem is with storing a datetime value in a
table. I created a table with a column designated as DATETIME. I
fill it with the NOW() function. No matter whether I default it or
try and set with code, all I get is a date! Even running "SELECT
Now()" only returns a date.
If I run the following query:
Date_Format(now(), GET_FORMAT(DATETIME,'USA'))

We've developed a seismic-data processing app in VB.NET 1.1 which runs on XP
Pro using SQL2K. Like all seismic data apps, it deals with HUGE amounts of
binary data (we use NTFS sparse "flat files") ... a typical user will have a
20 Terabyte raid array.
During a particular operation that reads, formats and exports these files,
we've noticed that sometimes it runs rather slowly... like it might take 12
hours to finish exporting the same...

After entering a date (earlier than today's date) into a textbox

control is greater than Now - when they are CLEARLY less than Now.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
