now() problem

Hi all!!

I've got a serious problem with time functions.... After changing time
(dayligt savings) now() returns decreased time. Linux date command returns
proper time... UTC+2... postgres returns UTC+0 :(

Why? What is wrong with postgresql configuration??

Help...

Hi This is a really weird problem. We have a website that has been running for about six months with no problems. We have recently moved it to a new server with a new ISP. The server is of a much higher specification as is the bandwidth etc. offered by the ISP. The move went smoothly although some users are reporting problems with a couple of ASPs that return large amounts of HTML e.g. 1181170 bytes (I just checked or 13464 bytes...

I am new to MySQL and my problem is with storing a datetime value in a table. I created a table with a column designated as DATETIME. I fill it with the NOW() function. No matter whether I default it or try and set with code, all I get is a date! Even running "SELECT Now()" only returns a date. If I run the following query: Date_Format(now(), GET_FORMAT(DATETIME,'USA'))

Consider this 3d vector: const SIZE = 'some_size'; std::vector<std::vector<std::vector<char> > >GRID(SIZE, std::vector<std::vector<char> >(SIZE, std::vector<char>(SIZE))); It can be viewed as coords for SIZE^3 different points in a 3d space: Now, instead of point consider Cubes. They each have 6 sides:

We've developed a seismic-data processing app in VB.NET 1.1 which runs on XP Pro using SQL2K. Like all seismic data apps, it deals with HUGE amounts of binary data (we use NTFS sparse "flat files") ... a typical user will have a 20 Terabyte raid array. During a particular operation that reads, formats and exports these files, we've noticed that sometimes it runs rather slowly... like it might take 12 hours to finish exporting the same...

Hello, I'm facing a strange problem. We have an Asp.net 2.0 Web Application and somehow the date format is changing from one client to another even if all the code is running server-side... Here is the simple sample code used to reproduce the problem : DateTime date = DateTime.Now.Date; Response.Write("date.ToString() : " + date.ToString() + "<BR>");

After entering a date (earlier than today's date) into a textbox control though, I'm stumped as to why VBA thinks date I enter into the control is greater than Now - when they are CLEARLY less than Now. Here's the code I have in the AfterUpdate event. I must be overlooking the obvious. Ideas? Private Sub DateSigned_AfterUpdate() If Me!DateSigned Now Then Me!DateSigned = Null

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
