Hey people,
I have to convert MS Access 2000 database into mysql database, the whole
thing being part of this project I'm doing for one of my faculty
classes. My professor somehow presumed I knew db's and gave me long list
of things to do with that particular database, first thing being that
particular conversion. Truth is that I don't know a first thing about
db's, let alone using mysql... I downloaded mysql form www.mysql.com and...

I'm upsizing an Access database. Got the data converted, working on
the front end, converting queries to views, but having trouble
converting queries that use logical expressions like the following:
SELECT OrderId,
Sum((BackOrderQtyAvailable>0)*-1) AS ReadyBackOrderItems
FROM OrderDetails
INNER JOIN Items
ON (OrderDetails.ClientId = Items.ClientId)
AND (OrderDetails.ItemId = Items.ItemId)

Okay, a rather 'interesting' situation has arisen at a place I work: I need
to convert a database from Access to something that can be used over the
web.
I am currently maintaining and developing a mid-sized Access database (60
tables, 25 simultaneous users).
Although I've been tossing up if I should try to convert the back end to SQL
server (We have a license), the performance has been good enough that it
always seemed a waste of time,...

My name is Mario Crevits, I'm from Belgium (Roeselare) and I'm working with
Access97 for several years now. We are in an Access97-2000 migration
project. I'm writing a wizard for the end-users to automatically find and
convert their Access97 databases on a specific drive.
I want to convert the databases through VBA :
1. create an empty Access2000
2. set the right properties and references
3. import the objects (tables, queries,...

Anyone have experience with converting an access app from Jet database
to Mysql? I am specifically looking for any changes I would have to
make to my access forms, queries, modules, vba code, etc. I understand
there are some data format differences in text field types and date
types that need to be addressed if converting from Jet to Mysql. But
other than things that have to be addressed when converting, what other
changes must I make?...

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. Someone I
know is trying to move away from Microsoft Works, and I am trying to
look into a solution that would convert their data in a lossless fashion
to a more modern format. The database has more than 65K rows, so
converting it to be an Excel spreadsheet, would, AFAIK, not be an option.
It would seem that MS Works can export the database as a DBF format
database, though I...

Hello I'm a newbie to this and I need help, please
My question is, we currently have a IDMS db and will be converting to DB2.
What are the things I should do? The IDMS has not been documented very well,
and there are a number of duplicate fields. I was thinking about
documenting all the tables with fields attributes, and documenting the fields
to the 150 screens in this program. We also that about doing a CRUD matrix
to see what it...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
