I am trying to create an automatic resource manager that works very much
the same as std::auto_ptr. However, I have a compile error I cannot
figure out. The following program demonstrates the problem. Pretend,
in each case, that -1 means "no resource", and any other number is a
handle to a valid resource. The class releases the resource in...

Hello all, I am seeking some help with the following problem. I'm
working on an application where I have a resource file, and in this
resource file what I want to store is a list of file names (that is,
essentially a string array).
The potential solutions I see are:
1) Convert the string array into one big string with each element...

Hi,
is it possible to implement custom resource managers for ASP.NET 2.0 so
that strings can be read from a database (for example)?
Ideally, it should be possible to configure the custom resource manager
in web.config, so that it replaces the default resource manager. Using
the <%$ ... %> syntax should read the strings via the custom...

A Windows API /resource/ is data embedded in the executable, accessed
via API functions. A resource is completely identified by the quadruple
(id, type, language, file), where (1) id is what, for want of a better
name, I'll call a /kludgeon/, (2) type is also a kludgeon, (3) language
is a small integer...

This may seem a little strange, but in all my years of developing Windows
Forms apps, I've never really used Resource files; however, I would like
to start doing so in order to store icons, pictures, and most importantly,
error message strings in resource files so I don't have to go searching for
them inside the code (if I want them changed)....

Hi,
Trying to access some resource files that I originally created in a C# proj.
Added a copy of the "String1.resx" file to the VB project then opened My
Project and added the file to the resources.
This seemed happy enough in that it created a text file icon in the
resources panel.
But I am lost as to how to access it.
In C#
I would...

Just curious, When you are in IDE, you are able to add a resource to
the project through resource tab. Later this resource can be accessed
using the resource manager. One good thing about this approach is
that, the resource file is build into the exe and using resource
manager you can later get already added resource file back.
Now is it...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
