php.ini issues

On my site I have a problem as the hosting company has set the default time
out to 15 mins and some of the users are busy mums and so have to leave the
computer for a while to deal with the kids etc. So when they return to the
computer to carry on working on the site it tells them they are logged out

I have been told I can put a php.ini file in the directory to over ride this
setting but I dont know what values I need to put in I would like to set
the time out to 5hours

I have been told its easy to do but Im very new to PHP and so have no idea
what to put

May be you can try to put this in your php.ini:
date.timezone = "timezone_code"

and for timezone_code --say for america you can find it -
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/timezones.america.php
