Invoicing and reminders

Nel
Hi PHPers

I want to write a system that will create and e-mail invoices to my
customers for web services I provide.

Everything from hosting, to domain reg and annual maintenance fees.

For example a new web site would be £x due on 1st Jan 2005 and then £y
should be due as an annual fee every 1st Jan starting in 2006.

I need to be able to record payments, and where payments are late send out
automatic reminders to my customers.

Thing is there is probably a free script out there that does this, but I am
not sure where to search. I don't mind writing one myself, but I hate
wasting time trying to re-invent the wheel.

Any suggestions, scripts? Anyone recently done this and can suggest one or
two ideas or pitfalls?

Thanks guys.

Nel.

That isn't a PHP issue per se. There are plenty of bookkeeping programs, in
free-, share- and commercial ware fashions.
Indeed, doesn't seem like a job you want to invest a lot of time in. Google
and bookkeeping software doesn't help ?
And to be honest, if this baby makes you money, it may even not be a bad
idea to buy something if that really does what you need better. Investments
can pay for themselves. Did you think about tax consequences ? Does your
script produce nice results the tax people or accountants like to see ?
Think big!

Good luck Nel!
