Archiving on the fly

Hey,
I'v been looking for a script or tutorial on creating zip and tar files on the fly. I know.. I know theres alot of them out there and I'v looked through alot but I haven't found one that can keep folder structure (or in that case make folders inside archive)

Please Help

Maybe the following (free) php class can help or give you an insight. It is the TAR/GZIP/BZIP2/ZIP Archives class at www.phpclasses.org that can handle several types of compressed files.
