Integrating Smarty with the Zend Framework 'View' API...

I hope someone here with experience could add their two cents, as I am
kind of a noob to the ZF and Smarty.
From my observation, the View API in the ZF does pretty much everything

that Smarty does in terms of template management.

Syntactically, Smarty seems easier for all those
Jetta-driving-Mac-owning emo kids out there, but is that the only
advantage?
