Installing PHP on Mac Intel machine

Can somebody please point me to definitive documentation on how to
install PHP on a Mac Intel machine (assuming such doc exists :-) ).

PHP 4.4.x is part of the default Mac OS X Tiger install. If you want
something newer, you can get an Installer.app package at
<http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/>, or build it yourself.

The PHP Installer on entropy.ch doesn't work on Intel Macs, you'll need
to compile it yourself.
