Can you tell me why this isn't working? It's generated by easyphp 1.6 -
myphpadmin. it's driving me bonkers!I go to create a table and this is the

You can't specify length restrictions on TEXT fields. Sounds like you want
VARCHAR(9) instead.

Nevermind - I got it... You dont put down the length in the text fields.

Try this:
create table customer {
id int(11) not null auto_increment primary key,
fname varchar(9),
lname varchar(9)
}
