Webmail systems

I'm about to start work on a custom webmail system for a client. I
built a similar system a few years ago by hacking apart SquirrelMail
(http://www.squirrelmail.org/), which was the best option at the time.
I've been looking at other options but there are quite a lot of
products to sift through and time is not on my side.

Is there a better customisable PHP webmail system than Squirrel Mail
which supports folders, contacts, etc?

I am writting a webmail client using mysql as the backend. I wrote the scripts using a table for each separate user. I am thinkig about putting all users in one table. the table structure now is pk, msg, folder. i am thinking about adding a separate field called user are there any advantages or disadvanges for doing this. I think some disadvantages could be larger/file table size and need of locking tables for updates, and probably less...

I've built a small app that sends mail through our ISP's SMTP server but when I try to send through my local exchange server I get CDO error. Does webmail use SMTP or does it strictly rely on CDOmail. I don't want to use the Outlook reference because outlook prompts each time program access it and I have found a way to disable that. Can I use webmail with exchange? Thanks

Hello, I currently use a simple php webmail form with php's mail() function doing the work to send messages to the site owner. However, viruses are being sent via the form. I tried adding a basic colaboration of amavis-new, ClamAV and spamassasin, but that filter does not seem to catch them. I assume they are injected into the Postfix process too late.

Hi all, I have come accross the requirement that I need to integrate one webmail system in an existing asp.net web application. I searched a lot in the Internet. I basically got two products: one SharpWebMail and another AfterLogic's WebMailLite. The previous one has lots of trouble with it, and even very old type of interface. And in fact very few features also. The latter one is also the free one, and so it has only inbox (no trash, sent items...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
