Hi All,
I read in a forum somewhere that namespaces, though once supposed to be a
part of PHP5, have been removed. Is this true? Can anyone show me the
official statement by Zend that they decided to forget about namespaces?
Why would they do this?
I could really use namespaces. If they canned this idea, that is quite a
disappointment :-/ Guess you cannot win them all.

Has anyone thought of developing a library aimed for PHP4 which would give
the kind of functionality that PHP5 has when it comes to working with XML
(http://www.zend.com/php5/articles/php5-xmlphp.php)? This especially covers
SimpleXML (http://www.zend.com/php5/articles/php5-simplexml.php).
I would like to start developing using those fabulous features, but the
provider we use for most of our clients' apps and sites is still on 4.3.4

I've had setup on WinXP: Apache1.3 with PHP4 module and PHP5 installedas
CGI for one vhost.
This worked fine, till I installed Zend Studio 4 beta.
I'm trying to make Zend Server use my existing configuration, but without
success.
If I point it to PHP4 php.ini, PHP cannot find (or rather refuses to
load) modules.
If I point it to PHP5 php.ini, I cannot enter server console, because my
php lacks ZendOptimizer

provider only has php4 on their site.
I have looked through the Documentation and did not find any
