I did the following as instructed in the docs. (see below)
everything seemed to install ok
and I started apache with no complaints, but,
1)I do not see a process for apache using ps -ef
2) In yast I see that the new apache2 version is installed but not
php5, its still on php4
any ideas ??

Hi,
I'm tring to *test* php5 beta2 as module with Apache 2.0.48 and win2k (I
know, I'm nuts :o)
First, there is no php5apache2.dll in the beta2 package but a
php4apache2.dll (php.net doc mention php5apache2.dll at
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.apache2.php)
I usually copy php4apache2.dll and php4ts.dll in the Apache2/modules/

I'm configuring PHP5 on my WinXP pro machine as an Apache2 handler.
However when I start apache I get system errormessages like "PHP Shutdown:
Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\php\ext\php_mcrypt.dll'" for all the
extensions I enabled. I have verified that the extensions indeed exist in
this directory, I've changed extension_dir accordingly and I've copied them
to my Windows/system32 directory.
What's going on?

I have installed PHP5 to run on WinXP against Apache 2.
It works! ie. I have tested a few simple scripts and a basic xml
document parse.
I now want to try the XSL extension so I can transform xml docs.
Having copied the php_xsl.dll to a directory where it can be found and
done the uncommenting in php.ini, it still will not work. The script I

I have been trying to use php5's xml support.
My OS is Ubuntu 5.10
I am running apache2 with php5, no problems there.
I installed the php5-xsl package but when I use any xsl related
functions in my php, I get errors like:
"Call to undefined function xslt_create();"
I have played around with installing a bunch of other packages that

Hi,
I'm trying to install php5 as a shared module for Apache 2 (on SuSe 10.0). When I compile I don't get libphp5.so. I don't know why, I'm not getting any errors, there are a few warnings, but they all deal with the Zend engine (they are mostly arguments differ in signedness).
My configure is:
./configure --with-apx2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
--prefix=/usr/local/apache2/php...

While it might seem irrelevant from a technical point of view, the

I am using the apache-perl webserver in Feisty (an Apache 1.3 with
mod_perl enabled), which works fine, but I cannot figure out how to
install php5 into this webserver as well.
Here's some stuff I have tried from the docs and googling:
sudo apt-get install php5
This seemed to only work for apache 2.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
