Hi,
When I start my PC(winXP Pro), it always says: Unknown(): Unable
toload dynamic library './php_msql.dll' - The specified module could
not be found.
Then my Apache servre starts, load php module and works well.
I copied php_msql.dll to my system32 directory. Who knows what's
wrong? Thanks a lot?

Hi all,
1> If there are more than one dynamic linking libraries in the file
system, how do I know which one is loaded into system? Any C library
or system call can tell me which *.so or *.sl is active? Can the
setting of LD_LIBRARY_PATH guanrantee that the correct one is

I have a main program and an add-on module
that uses some functionality in the main program.
E.g., the main program main.c has function foo().
The add-on module in file addon.c calls foo().
I want to compile addon.c into libaddon.so (aka addon.dll) so that it
can later be loaded into a running main program if necessary.
When I try to do that, I get this error:
$ gcc -fPIC -Wl,-export-dynamic -shared -o addon.dll addon.o

While my question doesn't pertain specifically to python programming,
it is a result of developing a python module, so I'm hoping someone
here might have experience with this issue.
So, first a little background to how the system works right now. I am
developing a module for Python. The original code is written in C++ and
I am creating a wrapper using Boost.Python. The C++ code for the module
makes calls into a library that in turn...

import works in the main section of the module, but does
not work as I hoped when run inside a function.
That is, the modules import correctly, but are not visible to
the enclosing (global) scope.
Questions:
(1) Where can I read an explanation of this?
(2) Is there a work around?

Hi list and python gurus :-)
I'm playing with some mod_python and web development. And in me code I
need to do som dynamic imports.
Right now I just do a:
exec 'import '+some_modulename
But it seems to easy, is there a "dark side" to doing it this way?
(memory use,processing ,etc)

The installation of PHP succedded without incident (it was done manually)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
