I am trying to work with a program that is trying make an HTTP POST of text
data without any named form parameter. (I don't know - is that a normal
thing to do?) I need to write a CGI program that accepts and processes that
data. I'm not seeing how to get at data that's not a named form parameter.
I wrote a simple CGI program to echo a string representation of the
cgi.FieldStorage class that's recevied, and one to make an HTTP POST to it...

How do you get a ASP.NET page to return nothing, so the page posting
form data to it doesn't reload?
I have tried all combinations of the following:
Response.SuppressContent = True
Response.BufferOutput = True
Response.Cache.SetNoStore()

I am in a situation where I need to package some information from
Page1, submit it via POST to another server which will process the
information and then send the user to another page on my server
(Page2).
I have looked at HttpWebRequest on numerous coding websites but have
not found a method that works. Does anyone have a solution for this or
has seen an example that works for this situation?
This is one very frustrating issue that I...

I had a really weird bug recently. I had a drop-down user control that
would not fire the onselectedchange event server-side. After nearly
twenty hours of debugging, I finally setup a local proxy (WebScarab,
which rocks by the way) and noticed that IE was deciding not to POST
the key/value pair for the event, but Firefox was.
I double- and triple-checked the XHTML, and the thing is valid. Here is
the post data, in summary:

Hi.
Every time i post data in a form the contents are being checked for
validity.
When i click the back-button, all data is gone and i have to retype it.
It's obvious that only a few or none of the visitors will retype it all
so i'm asking: "how to preserve POST-data when clicking the
back-button?"
i've already tried to print post data as a value in a HTML tag but

What is the maximum size of POST data? A page on the ASP FAQ web site
(http://classicasp.aspfaq.com/forms/what-is-the-limit-on-form/post-parameters.html)
is confusing me:
"While GET is limited to as low as 1024 characters, POST data is
limited to 2 MB on IIS 4.0, and 128 KB on IIS 5.0. Each name/value is
limited to 1024 characters, as imposed by the SGML spec."
Does this last sentence mean that no form field can submit more than
1024...

I am creating a form on the server that I want to POST to a URL that's being
called with Server.Transfer(). What's the simplest way to do that?
A little background: I'm programming buttons that link to PayPal's shopping
cart. PayPal wants an HTML form with data about the product selected
(including price), and they provide sample HTML to create a hidden form to
transmit the data when the 'Add to cart' button is clicked.
It would be...

I want to programmatically create some POST data on a web server, then pass
that data to another web page that the server calls, using
Server.Transfer(). What's the best way to do that?
I'm programming some buttons that link to PayPal's shopping cart. The
shopping cart needs a bunch of data about the item being added, including
price. PayPal's sample markup puts the data in a hidden form, which the
button submits.
I'm concerned about...

Hi everyone
I'm learning asp, and i downloaded this script to teach me how to post form data from a webpage to an access database. I put it on the server so i could make sure that it worked, and everything was fine, so i changed the variable names (the names of the form elements, and the names of the rows in access) so that it would be more correct to what i am using it for. Now once I did that, it gave me an error on line 24 which was the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
