Hello,
I have started using SimpleXML and can do most things, but there are a
couple of things that I can't seem to figure out.
Currently, I can:
1. Open & load an XML file
2. Manually parse the XML file
3. Search the XML file using XPath

Take, for example a typical RSS 2.0 feed (like
http://lorelle.wordpress.com/feed/) and tell me how I access the tags
like 'content:encoded' and 'wfw:commentRSS' using SimpleXML. I've
searched far and wide for a solution but can't find one.
Thank you very much.

Hi folks - hope someone can help me.
Firstly, my apologies for crossposting this to alt.php (and
not properly crossposting either).
I have an XML file with some elements like those below
<core:District Id="AB01">
<core:Name>NORTH EAST</core:Name>
<core:Association Type="type1">VALUE 1a</core:Association>

Hello,
Can someone please enlighten me on how to preserve the <!]>
element when parsing an xml file or string with simplexml. I'm using
libxml 2.6.16 and php 5.1.4.
I tried a few variations, I found at
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/function.simplexml-load-string.php
$xml = simplexml_load_string($newsMLString, 'SimpleXMLElement',

Hi,
I'm running in to a little issue with SimpleXML, and wondered if
anyone knew if it was normal implementation for SimpleXML, or I'm not
using a correct flag, or even it's a an issue that should be
resolved. I'm actually only just starting to use SimpleXML with any
vigor, so I may well be mistaken about what I think it should do...
Basically, if you take this simple chunk of XML:

I'm trying to use SimpleXML but I've run into a conundrum. Every day
an XML file is generated that this script grabs and manipulates. How
can I check that the XML has no problems before creating my
SimpleXMLelement object. Here's what I mean:
// this is the code in question:
$file_topstory = /some/xml/file.xml
$top_story_xml = new SimpleXMLElement($file_topstory, NULL, TRUE);
If the XML doc contains (for example) a URL with an '&' in...

I have a script that takes a xml template then adds data into it using
SimpleXMLElement. I then save it using asXML into a mysql database.
On my development machine at home it works fine. However, on the host
it is changing the tag data into HTML entities. The version of
SimpleXMLElement on the host is PHP 5.2.5 and SimpleXML
1.151.2.22.2.35 and the version on my dev machine is PHP 5.2.3 and
SimpleXML 1.151.2.22.2.26. Did something...

So I'm trying to use SimpleXML to get some attribute information about
some nodes in my XML document, but it seems like SimpleXML ignores
attributes for elements with no children,
For instance:
<xmlfile>
<object foo="bar">
<color mode="rgb">ffddee</color>
</object>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
