Got the error message "Fatal error: Unable to read 4761 bytes"

2 New Member
Hey,
Hope you are all doing good. I am a new bee here.

I have recently transfer a website from one hosting server to another and got the error message

"Fatal error: Unable to read 4761 bytes in /home/oneowner/public_html/admincp/system_cls.php on line 0"

Here is the URL of the website.
http://www.oneownercar.com.au/index_20081120.php

I research on this error on Google and found that it is just because the Zend Optimizer is not installed on the web server. But when i checked the configuration of the server then it says that it has Zend Optimizer v3.3.3

Is there anybody here in this community who can resolve my problem. It's a very serious problem and creating a lot of problems for me. I will be very thankful if some one resolve my problem.

Best regards,
Mohsin Rafique

Hi.

Which version of Zend Optimizer did your other host use?
Do you use Zend Encoder/SafeGuard?

My guess would be that this is some sort of version incompatibility . That your version of Zend Optimizer doesn't play well with the version of Encoder/SafeGuard you are using.

First of all thank you very much for your reply.
My Zend Optimizer Version specs given below

Optimization Pass 1 enabled
Optimization Pass 2 enabled
Optimization Pass 3 enabled
Optimization Pass 4 enabled
Optimization Pass 9 enabled
Zend Loader enabled
License Path no value
Obfuscation level 3

i don't know the exact version of Zend Optimizer at the previous hosting server as i lost the information but i know the latest Hosting Server Zend Optimizer Specification which i already told in the above paragraph and how can i check either Encoder/SafeGuard is Install at my new web server or not?

Awaiting of your reply

Zend Encode/Guard is not something you install on a web server.
It is used to *encode* (for a lack of a better word) PHP code so that it can not be reverse engineered, thus protecting the code from being "pirated".

Zend Optimizer is used to run this "encoded" version of the code on your web-server. You appear to have the latest version of the Optimizer (or close to it at least), so I don't think that is the problem.

Which would mean that the code itself is the problem.
Where did the code come from?
Did you develop it yourself? Or perhaps buy it?

If you did buy it, ask the developer about this. Perhaps he will know how the code was encode and what needs to be fixed to get it working again.

Hi, My PHP application for a client uses the publicly available "PHPMailer - PHP email class" which is very good. However, my client recently complained about the following error when sending out over 4000 emails. (Note that each email is customised so needs to be sent individually - not using Bcc). The application reported to have sent the 4000 emails successfully (it sends each one as part of a loop and then when completed gives a...

I am suddenly getting the obnoxious error C1060 when I try to compile my project. I have tried adjusting the /Zm switch as suggested by the help documents, but this is a project setting and not a VS.NET setting so that requires write access to the project file. This is an unacceptable solution since the file is shared among many users. I'd try rebuilding the entire project since this is most likely yet another bug in VS.NET, but that...

Hi, When I run a program I have made, i get this error message sometimes: "Application error:The instruction at '...' referenced memory at '...'. Memory could not be "read"..." Are there any common mistakes that cause this problem? Before i get the message above i get this in the command window: "pow: OVERFLOW error". I suppose these error messages are connected, but how? What causes pow: OVERFLOW error?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
