I wish to restrict access to a program to certain directories. I also
wish to prevent access to certain directories.
What this means is that given a path, I need to work out if that path
is in a certain directory... or in a subdirectory of that directory.
(On a Linux server).
The only way I can think of so far is to turn both paths into absolute
paths, strip off the filename and compare... is this the most elegant
way ?

hey guys,
i am looking at this piece of code that lists numbers of files in a
directory. i want to convert it so it lists the files in th directory that
end with .doc. i cant seem to get it to output correctly, i have included
the original code, my modified code, and the output from my modifed code..
why does it list the files as "System.IO.FileInfo"???

In the handler QueryPageSettings I let the user select a "Skip This Page"
option.
But I don't know how to handle it if he does.
I can set a flag and in PrintPage skip printing the page but the page count
in Printer and Faxes still increments.
I can cancel the entire print job but can not find anything that will enable
me to skip one page.

Hello, I have the following code to iterate through each view in a SQL
Server and call the "sp_refreshview" command against it. It works
great until it finds a view that is damaged, or otherwise cannot be
refreshed. Then the whole routine stops working.
Can someone please help me re-write this code so that any views that
fail the "sp_refreshview" command get skipped. I'm sure it's just a
matter of putting some basic error trapping...

I'm running Python 2.3.4 from a CGI script on a shared hosting Linux system.
The CGI program is being executed from Apache, as "nobody". I have some
local modules installed in "~myname/lib/python"; these include
"MySQLdb" and "M2Crypto".
Since this is running as "nobody", I append
/home/myname/lib/python

When i am printing report through crystal report then it skip some on the pages in between. i.e. if i print 10 pages then it print page1 and page2 then it skip page3 and print page4 and again same inbetween.
I copied the contents in word and print it and it works fine.
