Re: Session table not updated: "Server went away"

On Oct 14, 5:42 am, Puzzled <scratching.h.. .@example.comwr ote:
I'm running php4 and storing session data in a dedicated table.
To cut down on twiddle time in a particular app, I'm trying to
store a MB or so of r/o data in $_SESSION.
<snip>

That's again a problem (you're again storing in DB). Better go for
caching systems (xcache, memcached).

From reading this forum, it is my understanding that C++ doesn't require the compiler to keep code that does not manifest itself in any way to the user. For example, in the following: { for(int i = 0; i < 10; ++i){ std::cout << i << std::endl; for(int j = 0; j < 0x7fffffff; ++j){} } }

Hello all I get Too few parameters expected 2 error and "The MS Jet Database engine cannot find the input table or query "myTempTablename". Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly. 3078" after I migrated "MS Access 2000" to "MS SQL Server 2000" and relinked all linked tables. The front-end interface of my application is MS Access 2000. The back-end is MS SQL Server 2000. After I migrated the database and

I've seen references to using an out of process state server in cases where you need to maintain session state in a web server farm. I think SQL Server will be too slow to manage the state that I want to manage, and I can't find any actual product called a "State Server" on the MS site. Is there such a thing, or is this something I need to build myself? Thanks, Chris

Hi, I have a panel that I load user Control in no problem. The problem arrises when I do a post back on one of these user controls. I have button it does a click event. In this click event I will do some database updates, then I will use reflection to call a method in the parent (this.page) to load the new user control. Its at this point after it loads the new user control that it throws the error "The control must be placed inside...

I was doing update statements in SQL Server 2000. I have a table with over 16 million rows. It came from several hundred delimited text files, and two of the columns are file ID (int) and Line # (int) Structure is X12 (835). For those unfamiliar with that, each file has one to many BPR lines; each BPR line has zero to many CLP lines, each of those has zero to many

Yes, I wasted the past two days trying to fix this. Yes, this is on a Win2003 Server. Yes, this machine is a domain controller. Yes, I seen the dozens of KB articles like this one: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q315158 But the problem is that 99% of these are for ASP .NET 1.x and this is .NET 2.x which I just installed to try and get .net working for the first time ever. I've see all the HACKS to get .net 1.x...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
