Hello,
just a quick question: Does anyone have an idea if NuSoap allows to
secure server? Of course I could include a username/password field into
each request, but that would be gravely unelegant (and not very secure).
If not, are there any alternative libraries for Webservices with PHP?

Here's a novel idea. You might try asking in the NuSoap support forums.
I'm sure their developers are MUCH more familiar with the capabilities
than we are.

Hi Flo,
Yes, it does using SSL certs (using CuRL). I've used nusoap for both
server-side and client-side secure connections in the past, but I had
to extend it a bit to make the API a bit more elegant. I've been
happy with Zend_Soap so far (from the Zend Framework - http://framework.zend.com),
but haven't done server-side with SSL with it yet. You can think of
this component as an extension/wrapper of PHP's SOAP toolkit, much
better API and documentation, though.
Good luck,

I've been playing around with NuSOAP as a PHP based SOAP server and
client. Works great!
Now I'm trying to write (using gSOAP) a simple C/C++ based client to
test against my simple SOAP server. Not so easy.
My client forms the request nicely, and I see with my packet sniffer
that the SOAP server is producing the expected response message, but
all I can get my client to do is return a NULL pointer (at least I
don't have any errors!).

Hello. I am having what is probably the simplest problem there is with
Nusoap. I have to admit I'm new to this stuff, but I have some
programming experience and what I'm doing *shouldn't* be hard. First
thing I tested the Hello (sample server and client) that are in the
Readme file. No problem. Then I tried to accepting the data from the
URL string (GET). That worked. Then I tried two parameters and the
only output I get is the word...

I am using the nusoap client and nusoap server without any problem.
However, once I change the client to the excel, I am not sure how to
call the nusoap server. Especially the nusoap server only generate
the a SOAP message as follow instead of a WSDL file.
So, my question is
1.) Can I use excel or .Net as a client to call the nusoap server?

Hi,
Below is a basic webservice using the NuSOAP class. When I run the code to
register the service, I get the nice html page generated by nusoap,
offering a link to view the WSDL for my service. When I click it, php barfs
this :
Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by \nusoap.php on
line 2421.

Searched on google for any info relating to this before posting here but
found none.
I set up a web service using nusoap on apache php 4.3.8 on windows with
error_reporting = E_ALL and had that service set a cookie in the client
browser as the first output.
Works fine in IE6 and the service returns the state of the cookie in the
client browser but in firefox 1.0 the exact same service gives a notice
error about an undefined variable...

Hello, I have very little knowledge when it comes to SOAP, but a developer I'm working with says it will make things easier when passing data to/from client software and the mySQL database. Anyhow, I created this SOAP server per examples and instructions on various websites, and the server appears to be functioning (Server). However, the client software developer says they are getting the "Schedule" object back empty, regardless of what argument...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
