I'm hoping someone can recommend a free to low-cost content management
system that's easy for non-pros to use and is not too constrained by
web design. I have a content site and I would like my editors to post
stories, update blogs, etc. Thanks for the help. 2 1238

What have you looked at?
When you say "free", the most popular names that comes to my mind are
Joomla and Mambo. http://www.joomla.org and http://mambo-foundation.org/
Of the two, I get the impression that Mambo might be easier to use, but
opinions may differ.

Hi,
Can I ask some advice in regards database solutions and content management
solutions.? Do you have a philosophy on what is the best for databases -
ASP, JSP, Cold fusion, PHP, etc. My company website site is going to be
rebuilt and I am the lucky one to do this but I am unsure of the needs and
complexity of the project, and what would be the best base code. Do you
have any thoughts in this area? The site requires functionality...

Hi,
I am relatively new to PHP, but I don't care about that. I want to build a
database driven Web site that is really a content management system that
allows visitors to register and log in and write stories for the web site,
and also allows visitors to vote on the articles. I'm thinking that maybe I
should use a content management system in existence already because it
might save time, then if i need to, i could just change the system...

Hi All,
For the past few months I have been working on an open source
Apache/PHP/MySQL content management system - and have recently made it
available for download.
It's still very much a work in progress (current release version is
0.4.6), but you should get a very good idea of what it's about by
visiting the site (which uses it, funnily enough), or downloading a
copy of it and trying it out.

Hi All,
I have just made version 0.4.8 of the PluggedOut CMS Content Management
System available for download - it's free, and covered by the GPL.

I know what it is, and yet the knowledge of what a CMS is, is so vague
that I find myself asking this question every now and then. I've
googled and read the resources too. However, the knowledge is still not
clear. It is so vague.
Me: Just what is a content management system?
Myself: A place where content can be stored.

I am needing to write a simple content management system for my web site.
I've not done this before so if anyone has any link/info please could you
mention them?
One thing I am confused about: Do all content management systems store their
content in a database? If so, can their pages be indexed by a search bot?
If it does cause potential indexing problems, could you potentially have a
content management system that creates a new page...

Hi
I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition.
Could someone give me some pointers on how to include
a "Content Management" facility to a web site.
When I say content management - I mean a system that
enables staff (who do not know HTML etc) to change or
update data held on a web page.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
